Urgent Network Performance Upgrades (Reported)
Affecting System - NETWORK UPGRADES | Priority - High
Recently it has come to our attention that some clients are having performance issues due to poor routing of upstream providers. As these issues have caused severe degradation of service for some clients we're unfortunately forced to push up the time table for our network upgrades. We will be scheduling a 4 hour window starting at Saturday 11PM PST to Sunday 3AM PST. Projected impact on network connectivity is minimal but as such major upgrades don't always go according to plan we wish to give network admins time to back out the changes. The new network will be based around multiple redundant Cisco ASR 9000's and performance optimized by Internap FCP hardware. We apologize for the short notice but we firmly believe this action is needed to keep the WebNX network at peek performance, we appreciate your understanding.

Servers Reboot (Scheduled)
Affecting Server - Factory | Priority - Low
G.C. Solutions does run Ksplice on all of ouf our servers. During the last update of our Cloulinux kernel it was discovered that for some reason the update has left out part of the patch. We will need to update the servers by hand then reboot the server into the new kernel. This update will be started on 10/31/2011 at 9:00PM PST. The reboot of servers will commence at 9:15PM PST. The reboot should take no longer then a few minutes. This reboot affects all of G.C. Solutions servers minus our R1Soft backup server.

Emergency Maintenance Notification (Scheduled)
Affecting Server - KickStarter | Priority - High
When: 8-23-2011 01:00 to 03:00 PDT
Location: LAX02 / 800 S Hope St
Impact: Periods of loss of connectivity and high packetloss.
Summary: Due to recent routing issues, the core routers at LAX02 will have their route processors upgraded along with IOS upgraded.
Hello,
We apologize for the short notice, however rather than risk further routing issues we feel it's best to complete this immediately. During this window there will be periods of connectivity loss and/or high packetloss. This work is being done at our second datacenter, only servers deployed in the last 6 months will be impacted, older servers are located at our original datacenter and will be unaffected.
Future Maintenance: More detailed information to follow later as we are planning several upgrades over the next two months. A brief overview will be to bring online two new providers, Nlayer as a primary provider as several have requested it. Also due to several requests we will be adding Cogent peering. As we acknowledge several others find Cogent unfavorable we wish to assure you this will be for direct access to the Cogent network only and not general bandwidth. The next stage will be to bring online the Internap FCP Route optimizing device we recently purchased. The final stage of upgrades will be to bring ipv6 down to the client level.
Again, we deeply apologize for the short notice and connectivity issues.
